EnerStar Electric Cooperative is proud to announce that Taylor Clark, a standout senior at Paris High School, has been named one of sixteen recipients of this year’s prestigious Thomas H. Moore Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship. Taylor is the daughter of Jacquelyn Clark of Paris.
Selected from a highly competitive pool of 293 applicants from across Illinois, Taylor earned one of sixteen $2,500 scholarships awarded annually to children of electric cooperative members, employees, or directors. A seventeenth scholarship, specifically for a student pursuing a lineworker's college education, will be awarded separately, with applications opening in Spring 2026.
Taylor will be honored at the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives’ annual meeting on July 31, 2025, in Springfield.
“We are incredibly proud to once again have one of our local students recognized at the state level,” said Angela Griffin, the CEO/Marketing and Communications Manager of EnerStar. “Taylor’s hard work, leadership, and dedication to her community embody the cooperative spirit, and we are thrilled to see her achievements celebrated through this scholarship.”
Recipients were evaluated based on their academic performance, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, volunteer service, and a short essay demonstrating their understanding of electric cooperatives and their role in the community.
Congratulations to Taylor on this outstanding achievement. We wish her continued success in her academic and professional future.
