Members wanting to eliminate the fluctuations of
their monthly electric billing statement are encouraged to sign up
for EnerStar's Budget Billing program.
-
EnerStar members with at least twelve months of consumption
history and with account balances paid in full are eligible for
Budget Billing.
-
The monthly installment will remain the same
each month. Consumption history will be used to
calculate the average electricity costs. EnerStar will divide the
amount by twelve to compute the monthly installment.
-
In April, EnerStar will re-evaluate budget
accounts. April is known as the “catch up” month because it tends to be the lowest monthly billing. If the budget balance is behind,
member is billed for the remaining balance. If the account
is ahead and has a credit balance, a check will be issued.
-
In May, EnerStar will recalculate the new monthly
installment based on the most recent consumption history.
-
Disconnect for non-payment will result in automatic
removal from the program. Account balances at the time of
removal are automatically due along with the current billing.
-
If a member is removed from Budget Billing because of
non-payment, the member must reestablish his/her credit history
with twelve consecutive on-time payments in order to return to
the program.
-
The Budget Billing program shall remain in effect and be automatically renewed, unless
terminated by either the member or the cooperative.
