Each year,
EnerStar Electric Cooperative searches for outstanding high
school students to
represent the cooperative in the Illinois Electric Cooperatives'
(IEC) Memorial Scholarship program.
 Scholarships
are awarded by the IEC committee. Entries are awarded based on
grade-point average, college entrance test scores, work and
volunteer experience, participation in school and community
activities. Applicants must also provide a biographical statement
and demonstrate the knowledge of electric cooperatives through a
short essay.
