The
EnerStar Electric Cooperative 69th Annual Meeting of
Members is soon approaching. The meeting is scheduled for
Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Crestwood School in Paris.
As is tradition, the day will begin with a
complimentary pancake and sausage breakfast served by EnerStar
employees from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the school cafeteria.
Member registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the business
meeting scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. Please note these times
have changed slightly from previous years.
EnerStar's Board
Chairman Tom DeWitt of Newman will open the meeting. Kevin Levellie, Minister of Nevins Christian Church, will give the
invocation. After taking care of routine business,
Secretary-Treasurer John Fell of Kansas will give the 2007
Treasurer’s Report and EnerStar CEO Peter Kollinger will present
a cooperative update.
As a part of the electric
cooperative, EnerStar members can exercise their right to vote
for fellow members to serve on the cooperative’s board of
directors. In late February, members received via mail all
necessary voting documentation for the elections. Members may
return ballots in the return envelopes by mail or by
hand-delivery to the EnerStar office in Paris on or before
Friday, March 14, 2008. Ballots received after that date will be
null and void. Ballots may also be brought to the Annual Meeting
on Saturday.
Drawings for door
prizes will be held at the close of the meeting for those
members present. Grand prizes include a digital camera and seven
lucky winners will receive a $70 electric statement credit, in
honor of the cooperative’s 70 years of service. At the close of
the meeting, EnerStar will present a small token of appreciation
to each membership in attendance.
All electric
members of the cooperative are welcomed and encouraged to
attend. If you have any questions regarding the Annual Meeting
of Members or need directions, contact EnerStar Electric
